Congratulations to Chan Wan Justin (BSocSc(Govt&Laws)&LLB 5), Chen Jinwei William (MCL), Hu Yayun Cherry (JD 1), Ng To Antonia (BBA(Law)&LLB 5), Wong Sze Ching Iris (BA&LLB 5), and Zhou Jianrui Jerry (BSocSc(Govt&Laws)&LLB 5) for winning the Best Financial Counsel of the Year at the 12th Asia-Pacific Enterprise M&A Moot Competition. Team captain, Chen Jinwei William was awarded the Best Performance of the Year, qualifying him as a Junior Certified M&A Dealmaker.

This year’s competition, co-hosted by the China Mergers and Acquisitions Association (CMAA) and the China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), with support from the China Museum of Finance (MOCF) and the College of Law at Taiwan National Chengchi University, was held in Beijing from 9 to 12 April 2025. This competition pits a total of sixteen top law schools from mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau in corporate merger negotiation based entirely on real-life companies. Faculty of Law, The University of Hong Kong hosted this competition in 2018.
