
The HKU-PKU Annual Conference on Legal Studies 2025 – ‘The Rule of Law in the Context of Globalization Changes and AI Development’ was successfully held at The University of Hong Kong on 13 December 2025. The conference, jointly organized by The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and Peking University (PKU), has taken place every year since 1998. This year, more than 20 experts and scholars from both universities, along with nearly 200 participants, filled the Academic Conference Room and live broadcasting room.
Covering topics from AI governance, digital transformation, financial stability, to social issues, the conference fostered in-depth discussions on various legal challenges and opportunities in a rapidly changing world. Highlighting international collaboration, the conference emphasized the need for adaptive legal frameworks to address technological advancements and societal shifts.
Concluding with commitments to ongoing partnership, the event marked a significant step toward shaping future legal responses to global and technological transformations.
