To mark the beginning of the academic year 2025-26 and welcome different groups of new law students, HKU Faculty of Law organized a Welcome Fest, with various events, from 27 August to 5 September 2025.

The Faculty offered a warm welcome on 27 August to Year 1 undergraduate law students with inspirational messages delivered by our faculty members and warm introductions delivered by law student representatives. Freshmen were then treated to a delightful refreshment session. Adding some fun elements to the event were DIY postcards session and Mystery Welcome Kit with HKU Law souvenirs.

 

On 1 September, we were joined by Mr Roden Tong, The President of The Law Society of Hong Kong (photo on the left) and Mr Martin Hui SC, Vice Chairman of The Hong Kong Bar Association (photo on the right) in welcoming students who are starting their PCLL (Postgraduate Certificate in Laws) studies.

 

On 4 September, LLM-MCL Programmes Welcome Reception provided a great platform for networking among the students and the faculty. With welcoming remarks from our faculty members, the students fostered valuable connections, enriching their academic and professional community.
