To commemorate Mr Eric Pun (LLB 1981, PCLL 1982), a gifted musician, a talented lawyer, and a good friend to many, who left us in 2018; his family, a group of alumni from his class and those from St Paul’s Co-Educational College has established the “Eric Pun Memorial Prize in Music” to a law student who has outstanding musical achievements in the previous year.

The 2025-26 prize is awarded to Ms Ruby Li (BSocSc(Govt&Laws)&LLB 4). Ruby is a musical theatre composer, pianist, and music producer. Her recent work includes composing for the original musical Alice in Modernland (2026), and serving as Director and Director of Music for Fun Home (2025) with PuDrama at HKU. She was awarded Champion for Song Composition at the 1st Hong Kong MusicalCon Competition. Ruby has also produced soundtracks for plays staged at the Hong Kong Arts Centre and the Fringe Festival.
