To commemorate Mr Eric Pun (LLB 1981, PCLL 1982), a gifted musician, a talented lawyer, and a good friend to many, who left us in 2018; his family, a group of alumni from his class and those from St Paul’s Co-Educational College has established the “Eric Pun Memorial Prize in Music” to a law student who has outstanding musical achievements in the previous year.

The 2023-24 prize is awarded to Miss Wing Yeung (LLB 4). Wing is an internationally active classical soprano. Her comprehensive repertoire ranges from Baroque period to Modern period, in seven languages. She was awarded champion for multiple times in prestigious competitions, most notably at vocal solo – open class – foreign language – soprano at the 76th Hong Kong School’s Music Festival. She performed at the Wiener Musikseminar International Master Class series and was casted as a soloist in a production by King’s College London Opera Society during her exchange studies last year. She is now a volunteer vocal teacher associated with iMus Academy to teach music to underprivileged children through weekly singing lessons.
